چکیده
Abstract Alopecia areata (AA) is a common autoimmune-mediated hair loss disorder in humans with an estimated lifetime risk of approximately 2 %. Episodes usually begin isolated hairless patches that may progress to complete over the entire body. A familial occurrence AA well established, recurrence risks about 6–8 % first-degree relatives. multifactorial involving both environmental and genetic factors. Previous research has identified 14 susceptibility loci, most which implicate genes involved immune response. The following review presents summary latest findings from genome-wide association, sequencing gene expression studies AA, as their contribution recent therapeutic developments.

Recent Advances in the Pathogenesis of Autoimmune Hair Loss Disease Alopecia Areata
Alopecia areata is considered to be a cell-mediated autoimmune disease, in which autoreactive cytotoxic T cells recognize melanocyte-associated proteins such as tyrosinase. This review discusses recent advances in the understanding of the pathogenesis of alopecia areata, focusing on immunobiology and hormonal aspects of hair follicles (HFs). The HF is a unique "miniorgan" with its own immune an...

Background: Various kinds of sensitizers are administrated foralopecia areata treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluatetreatment response to Dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) in alopeciaareata patients.Method: In this study, 117 patients were treated with DNCBunder a specific checklist. All patients were sensitized with a 2%DNCB and then treated with ascending DNCB concentrations(0.001%-2%). R...

Alopecia areata is a frequent cause of hair loss. The origin of disease is not fully understood. However there are indications for a T-cell mediated autoimmune process. Genetic, immunologic and psychologic factors are important for the outbreak of disease. Most patients show localized patches of acute hair loss, where regrowth is observed spontaneously or with simple topical treatment within fe...
